OK, seriously; why hasn't Virgil Goode apologized?

The Virgil Goode watch continues. More and more Americans are condemning Virgil for his disgusting remarks, and the story continues to grow both locally and nationally. For the life of me, I cannot believe Goode has not commented nor apologized to Rep. Ellison, especially after this:
WASHINGTON - The current US ambassador to Iraq Zalmay Khalilzad will soon be the first Muslim US ambassador to the UN, a senior State Department official said. Khalilzad is expected to replacing outgoing UN ambassador John Bolton in the coming days.

Khalilzad, a Sunni Muslim stationed as the Iraqi ambassador since 2005, is the most senior Muslim official in the United States government. He was born in Afghanistan, and completed a BA and MA at the American University in Beirut.

snip

It appears that Bush himself was in favor of Khalizad's predecessor, Bolton, remaining in the UN post. However, Bolton resigned the post in December after failing to secure Senate endorsement
So, as of right now, President Bush is more tolerant and ::gulp:: more intelligent than a Republican representative from Virginia.

I really do not know what to say.

As much as I really am bothered by what he said, Virgil Goode has not apologized because:
1. he doesn't believe his words warrant an apology, because he truly believes in them

2. his constituents are coming out in droves to support him

Sucks, I know. I have to deal with reading opinion letters of support in both Martinsville Bulletin and Roanoke Times.

SD, we saw what letter writing did for Webb's campaign. I will definitely write a letter, and I encourage others to do the same.

Could it possibly be because Virgil has nothing to apologize for?

Read his letter, he does not tell his readers that Ellison (who has some serious ties to Hamas, by the way) has no right to use the Koran during his ceremony. He only says that he, himself has no use for the Koran.

He also spells out some serious consideration involving our very loose immigration laws.

Southern Democrat, you once had a platform to express your views, why did you abandon it?

Um, I am sorry. I try to take Republican bloggers seriously, but you have less than zero proof of what you say. He has ties to Hamas? Why, bc the Republican bloggers spin a story and decide that it is so?

Oh, honey; you are going to have to try a LOT harder than that here at WOS.
