Just heard on Hardball with Chris Matthews

I will provide a link to the transcript or video as soon as it is made available:
There's grounds for the President to retire based on the mistakes he has made. But he won't, he won't retire.

I am surprised no one posted on The Daily Show's comment on the immigration position Virgil Goode named after himself in his letter to voters. Jon Stewart said "In the Kama Sutra, the Virgil Goode position on immigration is [self pleasure] with your head up your @ss."

I'll leave it Jaime to decide just how much detail this blog can take...

The internets is dead tonight! You and I are apparently the only two blogging the Bush "speech." At least judging by my quick glance at everyone else....

I'm blogging, for what its not worth. I'm dying slowly inside and can't believe this bullshit. Jaime- though we elected him as Senator for 6 years, I think extreme times call for the immediate start of the Draft Webb for President movement now. I think you can do both Draft Gore and Draft Webb and see who takes, nothing wrong with that.

No, he was elected to serve 6 years in Virginia and he needs to do so. However, lots of people agree with you, rest assured of that. I also think he is going to be an asset to every member of Congress and the administration itself. Face it; we booted a zero and got ourselves a hero (in the words of many Jerry Springer guests). The interview needs to be wide spread and so do Webb's words. He cuts through the shit and makes sense of this war. Briliant.

I'm with you Jaime, believe me, but what a great president he would be. Ok, too much hero worship and I should be ashamed by that, but really.

Love your blog.

Oh, wow, Faux News actually had a "counter" that started after Bush's speech ended which read "where's their plan" ..referring to the Democrats.

It's like some juvenile that KNOWS he's in trouble and has to start placing blame elsewhere.

I know, I Ifigured we'd hear him try to spin the American public's perception of government and claim that the Democrats have to offer a plan for the war he started and must manage. Idiot.

Doug-you rock, and I am with you on the worship. When's lunch?

Forget Ben, I'm stuck in DC on work and can't work a time with him. Come on up and I'll take you to lunch, or drinks. Bring Thadd! Oysters and football at hanks, or wings and shooters at Big Hunt.

I'm not in any of the pictures, and I'd never been to the Big Hunt. I was just thinking about going to that event but I couldn't get away from work.
